Mark Levinson - one of Harman’s consumer automotive brands which designs, manufactures and markets audio, electronic and infotainment systems for your car – recently celebrated the launch of the Lexus CT200h at the Lexus Salon at Harrods.
Few brands can boast of occupying four display windows at London’s legendary Harrods department store, but that’s exactly what Mark Levinson and its automotive partner Lexus can claim. During a recent five-week stint, the world’s most famous luxury store provided the perfect showcase for the plush Lexus CT200h hybrid hatchback and RX450h SUV, with an exclusive presentation of premium audio from Mark Levinson.
Unlike the “look-but-don’t-touch” displays found in many similar situations, the Lexus/Mark Levinson presentation at Harrods was designed to give shoppers full access to the vehicles and their interior features. One of the window units was devoted exclusively to the latest Mark Levinson audio technology, as featured in a number of Lexus models. A Lexus Lounge completed the display, designed by Lexus in cooperation with Harrods’ own creative team. Test drives and new vehicle orders were completed in-store throughout the period, with support provided by the Lexus on-site team.
The long-standing Lexus/Mark Levinson partnership, which dates back to 2001, is delighting drivers with audio systems offering up to 19 speakers, 450 watts of power and 7.1 channel surround, depending on the car model. The audio components are specifically designed to the automotive interior, bringing drivers the same premium sound in every seat that discriminating audiophiles expect from their home systems.
HARMAN’s consumer segment designs, manufactures and markets a range of mid- to high-end audio and consumer electronics for home, multimedia and mobile applications. The great sound used in Mark Levinson products can also be found in Harman’s other consumer brands, including JBL®, Harman Kardon® and AKG®. So, whether you are listening to sound through a Mark Levinson amplifier, a JBL iPod loudspeaker dock, a Harman Kardon home theatre system or through AKG headphones, it is the same excellent HARMAN sound that can be found in all three brands.
Following his fourth studio album release at the end of last year, R&B sensation Trey Songz has teamed up with Usher for his international OMG Tour, which will utilise AKG microphones for lead vocals and the band’s lead guitar and percussion.
Music’s Biggest Night® would be nothing without sound. As the world watched their favorite musicians perform and present at the GRAMMY Awards®, AKG was tasked to provide flawless audio.
